偷空溜回來Brissy休息的幾天,剛好碰上老妹 25th Birthday Cocktail Party在上星期五晚上隆重舉行!超讚的!她今年選在 Hamilton PortsideByblos Bar + Restaurant.  先前她花了很多時間研究菜單,挑包箱,算人數!這次的dress codeSemi-Formal, importantly is to look SEXY!!!! 我想今年她應該非常開心,除了有滿滿的祝福、超多禮物以及我所奉上的大禮外,更重要的,大家當天陪她喝到很high!!!!!

從六點半到半夜,朋友陸續抵達!我們很lucky一到Portside時就看到澳洲新啟航的Sun Princess豪華遊輪剛好到Brisbane!!!! 真是壯觀啊!就跟一艘巨無霸鐵達尼號一樣!這艘郵輪可以澳洲內陸環島的第一艘巨型郵輪!而才剛啟航就被我們碰上了!

看到Byblos應該會相信Brissy is becoming Brissyvegas!!!! 原來這邊也是有挺正點的lounge啦!現在這邊有很多新開發的地點包括Portside, Emporium James St.等都有很多摩登新穎的餐廳與酒吧,氣氛都是上上之選,餐廳的價位也不便宜!Byblos 算是Portside這邊很棒的一間,就在河岸旁,走廊上點了幾盞火把heaterthe bar area的燈光藏酒都相當令人驚豔!!! 包箱也因覆蓋下了一層紅色薄紗隔間並與內置的墨綠朱紅沙發椅相互暉映,更添神秘中東美!Friday night, it was a super crowded gathering spot!!!!

The reason why she has chosen Byblos was because it received 5 nominations for the 2007 Australian Bar Awards.  Which are:  Best New Bar in Australia, Best Bar Team in Australia, and Best Drinks Selection in Australia.  And the bartenders Nick Edwards and Will Thompson have both been nominated for the Australian Bartender of the Year Award~~ Oh~~~ I guess most importantly, the bartender and waiter are all very cute over there!!!hahaha!!!不過,真的其中一個負責我們包箱叫Micheal的超像Keanu Reeves!!!!當晚眾美女一直找他拍照~ My sis, she’s just all into bartending service and bartender!!!!!

Given that the “bar & drinks” seem to be the focus of the night, as soon as Nancy and I got there, we got feed with a shot of Absinthe each with empty stomach… and than it was like wow high so high for the entire night……. 火燄Absinthe俗稱綠精靈的苦艾酒,喝下後讓腦袋瓜呈類似放電效應,印象深刻!毛寶貝形容說嘴巴都麻了!


這個晚上第一次品嚐到,就喝了2 shot!!!熱辣辣的入喉,果不虛此名。酒精濃度約68%,撲鼻而來的是茴香味 very liquorice 甘草!!! And I hate liquorice!!!! 當天幾乎每個會喝酒的客人都各喝了一杯Absinthe還有一杯以我妹名子命名的特調粉紅色signature drink!!!! Great!!!!

Absinthe苦艾酒怎麼做?

1.在酒杯上平放一根湯匙然後將一顆方糖放在湯匙中央,倒入翠綠色的酒液 

2.將沾過酒的方糖點燃,快燒盡時,再把方糖加入酒裡攪拌

3.這時候整杯酒會跟著一起燃燒,迅速用調酒棒將方糖在燃燒的酒中攪拌

4.蓋上另一個酒杯,並申入另一個吸管,用力個給他吸幾口

5.此時你的喉嚨應該會有一陣燃燒,好像火鳥一樣

6.將剩餘的absinthe倒入上方酒杯後,一口氣把他飲盡


翠綠的艾苦酒,由於裡面含有治療憂鬱症的成分,酒精濃度高達70%,喝了以後會讓人high得不得了,據說畫家梵谷以前每天都要喝上2大瓶,自殘割耳也是酒後興奮過度的結果。這可是來自西班牙,在歐美禁了100多年的禁酒,美國到現在還沒有開放,因為裡頭含有一種absinthe成分,喝了會讓人興奮得不得了,在法國風迷一時,畫家梵谷幾乎一天要喝上2大瓶。酒有苦味加上方糖,可提升酒的苦味,把甜度提出來,聽說海明威死前,枕頭下還擺了一瓶酒。據說很多藝術家喝了後,幻覺靈感一塊來,而這酒的喝法也很特別,梵谷最愛的是這種經典,加上方糖的調酒方式。詩人王爾德則喜歡加冰塊shake的方式,這可是純酒,烈得不得了;更特別的是,由於absinthe最早被用來當作胃藥,雖然酒精濃度高達70%,喝了卻不會醉,誘惑人越喝越多。

 

因為這一杯68%,high到不行外也被灌了其他一些酒!沒醉,但bartender卻refuse再serve給我妹他朋友們酒!很好笑!Cheers!

當晚我們點了蠻多餐點,為了符合cocktail share round的方式,多以skewercanapéfilo pastry為主!菜色來說的話算是還好,因為都分散著吃,應該跟每人一道主餐的吃法會差很多!我想以這邊偏modern Lebanese incorporated eastern flavours, ingredients and spirit, with western technique, method and refinement 又帶點Ancient Mediterranean fusion料理,一個人單吃一份主餐應該會過癮多!

這晚最棒的還有Joey特地準備的Wendy’s Ice-cream chocolate cake!!!! 雖然是老妹生日,但我也跟著開心得像是自己生日一樣!哈哈,更何況還有我心愛的冰淇淋蛋糕耶!

這天晚上很開心,absinthe下肚後整個人都high起來!當天因為難的回到Brisbane很高興也在這天看到了久違的Joey、毛寶貝、丹尼斯跟莊家姐妹!還有來gate crashRita同學!真的聊的玩得好開心喔!當然還有跟呆呆樹聊天更是個開心重點啦~ 總之,就是超開心的一晚!
